Congratulations to Post 5 Jefferson City for winning our 31st Annual American Legion Wood Bat Invitational! Thanks to everyone that participated and came out to watch some great baseball games! Sr Fike goes 3-2 in wood bat tournament

Fike lost the 10PM game last night against the Senators (5-6) to finish pool play 2-2 which took us out of the quarter finals. Fike wins big over St Peters 11-2 in their crossover game today to finish with 3 wins and 2 losses in the tournament. The Sr Fike Photo Album has many new pics from the tournament games, and more from today will be uploaded soon.

We have 3 double header league game nights this next week on Tues (home), Thurs (Sedalia), and Sat (Oak Park High School) all at 6PM. Let’s get some momentum going into Zone…Let’s GO FIKE!

Sr Fike Examiner Article

Sr Fike wins the first two games Thursday night 9-0 vs Blue Jays and 9-2 vs Post 338. Post 21 takes the win over Fike in the first game today. Sr Fike (2-1) takes on the Senators tonight at 10:00PM for their final pool game. Schedule will be updated for Saturday once pool play is over.

Schedule Update and Pics

Thanks to everyone that helped with the tournament and field prep after the storm wreaked havoc this morning! The revised tournament schedule has been posted earlier this evening, and the Fike Calendar now reflects the new game times for Sr Fike. We play 5:30pm & 10pm games on Thursday and Friday nights at HV2.

Tonight Set Up for Wood Bat Tournament

Reminder: Tonight is the set up for our wood bat tournament that starts tomorrow morning! All players and any parents (with drills if you have one) please come out to Hidden Valley tonight at 7:30pm to help us get everything ready for the tournament. Thanks in advance!

Wood Bat Tournament Set Up Tues

Set up for the Sr wood bat tournament at Hidden Valley will be on Tuesday July 9th at 7:30PM. All players need to be there, and we also need some dads with drills to help out. The more help we have the faster we will be done! Thanks in advance for your support!

Fike sweeps A’s in double header

Sr Fike meant business last night winning back to back games against rival Rod’s A’s! Both starting pitchers picked up wins, and the bats came alive in the 2nd game racking up 20 hits and 17 runs. Game 1 score was 4-2, and game 2 was 17-2.

Sr Fike will have a practice tonight at 6:30PM at Hidden Valley Field 1 for all that are able to attend. Tomorrow Tuesday July 2nd Sr Fike will play a double header against Rod’s A’s starting at 6PM at Hidden Valley Jim Moran Field. Come out to cheer them on!

Sr Fike will leave Friday to head to Elsberry for the wood bat tournament July 5-7th. Their first game is at 8PM Friday night. Coaches will update players with the time of departure on Friday.

Players and dads please plan on being at Hidden Valley on Tuesday July 9th to help set up for our Sr wood bat tournament. The time will be announced as soon as it is confirmed.

Lastly, please check your emails for the sign-up instructions for the Sr Wood Bat Tournament ASAP! There are several open spots that need filled, and the tournament is right around the corner. Each current FIKE family is expected to volunteer for a minimum of 6 hours and of course are welcome to volunteer as much time beyond that as possible. This tournament helps keep the cost for each player to a reasonable amount, so be sure to support your team! If you did not receive a sign up email please let us know at fikebaseball@gmail.com.
