Sr Fike splits with Warrensburg

Last night Sr Fike traveled to Warrensburg for a double header against Post 131. The first game was dominated by Nathan Fine and Fike’s defense. Fine pitched a complete game shutout striking out 11 and only allowing 2 hits! Fike put up 3 runs in the first inning, and that was enough for the victory winning 3-0.

In the second game Fike’s offense could not get going against Post 131’s pitchers and ended up losing 0-3. Follow the link below for The Examiner’s short article about the games (note wrong score posted in article for 1st game, should show 3-0)

Sr Fike takes two in Bethany

Father’s Day was a good one for Post 499 Fike Baseball! Sr Fike won both games in Bethany with scores of 9-2 in the first game and 11-3 in the second game. The defense was hot, and the bats were hotter with 29 hits in the double header!

Both starting pitchers Tyler Slinkerd and Andrew Asinger went the distance in their games to earn a win each. Christian Lynn, Easton Harmsen, Nathan Fine, Brad Kitsmiller, Johnny Miles, and Aaron Jones all had multiple hits just in the first game! Lynn, Hayden Engman, Deryk Carey, and Harrison Lang had multiple hits in the second game too. Great job young men!

Photos from both games have been added to the 2019 Sr Fike Album (newest pics at top in reverse order).
