Message from Coach Matt:

We have gotten our game schedule for the Branson Tournament June 3-6, 2021. Our first game is at 9 a.m. on Thursday, June 3rd. The team will be leaving on Wednesday, June 2nd in the evening. As a result of our first game being played on Thursday, June 3rd, at 9 a.m., the team has extended our block reservation availability for parents and family to include Wednesday night.

If you have already made your hotel reservation and would like to extend your stay to include Wednesday night, you will need to contact the hotel ASAP.

Our season schedule is posted on the Team Calendar. There may be some games added to the schedule, and any updates will be posted on the team website.

REMINDER: Final fee payments are also due at this time. As always, payment can be made through the team website using PayPal or mailed to Jim Moran at 4007 SW 15th Ct., Blue Springs, MO 64015.

Mark your calendar for Saturday April 24th! That’s the rescheduled date for Fike Baseball’s annual mouse races fundraiser. More information to follow, but make sure to reserve that evening for this event.

Both Fike Baseball teams will start their indoor workouts this Saturday January 9th at The Dugout in Independence. Jr Fike will be from 9-10:30AM, and Sr Fike will be from 10:30-Noon. These workouts will be every Saturday until February 27th. Let’s get ready for a new year of Fike Baseball!

The following is information on hotels for our out of town trips. The ones listed are where the teams will be staying and Jim has rooms on hold for parents. Parents need to call and pull their room out of the parents block. Refer to the team calendar for tournament dates.

On all senior tournaments and the juniors in Sioux Falls the players will stay in rooms as a team (unless parents are concerned about Covid) with those rooms being paid for by the team. If a parent decides to have the player stay in their room they are responsible to stay in the team hotel and pay for the room.

Fike Baseball would like to wish everyone a Merry Christmas and Happy New Year! Stay safe out there!

Mouse Races – due to unknown Covid-19 restrictions in January we are postponing our annual Mouse Races Fundraiser until late Spring (date TBD). Hopefully by that time we will be able to host this very important fund raiser for our baseball teams. Coaches will contact players once we have a date confirmed, and then we will distribute the tickets for each player to sell.

Winter Workouts – Our winter workouts will start up again at The Dugout on Saturday January 9, 2021. Jr’s start at 9:00AM, and Sr’s start at 10:30AM. These workouts will run through the last Saturday in February. Players must have a signed Dugout waiver before practicing!

Required Paperwork – Parents, if you were unable to attend the last parent meeting you must contact Jim Moran to get the required paperwork filled out as soon as possible! There are a few forms that must be filled out and signed before players can practice and play this upcoming season, so please get this taken care of soon.

The team Calendar has been updated with the tournament dates and locations for both Sr and Jr Fike teams. We will post hotel reservation info for the out of town tournaments as soon as it’s available. We hope everyone is having a safe and happy holiday season!

Fike Parents,
We will be holding an important meeting next Thursday November 19th at 7:30PM. This meeting will be held in the upstairs room at The Dugout. At least one parent must be present. A number of items need to be addressed including filling out important forms. Check your email for more details.
